If all you really want from your mobile is to make phone calls, send texts and have a long-lasting battery, a 'feature phone' is for you. They're really easy to use and don't come with loads of extra features that you might be unlikely to use.
As a rule of thumb, there are two different kinds of mobile phone. A smartphone – which has access to the internet, a powerful camera, and lots of other impressive specs. And feature phones. Feature phones are a little more basic, and a far less expensive - perfect if you have no need for all the bells and whistles than come with a smartphone.
Smartphones let you do a lot more than feature phones. They have full internet access, so are great for checking the news or your emails and even watching movies while you're out and about.
