If you need to reboot your Motorola phone for any reason, such as activating a newly downloaded app, it’s pretty easy. All you need to do is press and hold the power button on your handset for roughly 10-20 seconds, and then let it go. Hey presto – phone restarted.
Need to take a screenshot of what’s currently on your Motorola phone screen? It’s simple. Put one finger on the Power button, and another on the Volume Down button. Then, press them both down simultaneously. The screenshot will be saved to your phone library for you to edit, send, or do as you wish.
Bear in mind that if you want to reset your Motorola phone, the process will completely erase data from your phone that will include music, photos, videos, system settings and data, downloaded apps, app settings and data (including text messages, and any details of your Google account. So long as you’re aware and happy with that, you can then reset your phone back to factory settings by doing the following: • Go to Settings • Go to System • Select Reset options • Select Erase all data (factory reset)
If you find yourself in a situation where your Motorola phone is locked but you’ve forgotten your password AND you don’t want to risk losing all your data and settings with a factory reset, then don’t worry – there is a way. Just enter the wrong password five times. This will cause a ‘Forgot Password?’ message to appear, giving you the opportunity to reset your password. Select ‘Yes’, and then enter your Google account details. Once signed in, you can create a new password for your phone.
Not got a Google account? No problem. Instead, turn off your phone altogether. Then press and hold the Volume Down button and Power button at the same time until your Motorola phone turns back on. Now press the Volume Down button until you see ‘Recovery mode’ appear. Now press the Power button once again, and you can re-start your phone in Recovery mode.
