  • Intelligent keyboard

BlackBerry’s iconic keyboard is back, but with a difference. Now you can set shortcuts to every button, opening apps in an instant.

  • Powerful camera

The 12MP rear camera is powered by a Sony IMX378 sensor, and has large pixels to capture lots of light for bright photos.

  • Android-powered

The KEYone runs on the world’s most popular mobile operating system, Android by Google.

Design and display

Breaking the mould

The KEYone has a 4.5-inch display with Full HD resolution - the distinctly different shape making way for the smart keyboard. It takes up less room than an on-screen one, and leaves you with more display to play with.

Keyboard shortcuts

Each of the 52 keys can be programmed to support a shortcut with a long-press. So, you could save ‘I” for Instagram or “C” for camera - it’s up to you. There’s also a secret fingerprint scanner inside the space bar.

Built with expertise

On the back of the smartphone is a powerful 12MP camera, built with Sony’s industry-leading camera expertise. The sensor features large 1.55μm pixels, to let in loads of light for bright and colourful photos, and it can shoot video in 4K.

Front-facing lens

On the front of the phone is a secondary camera, able to film video in Full HD. The 8MP sensor is perfect for video chatting, using the likes of Skype, or Google’s own, Duo

Under the hood

Super secure

With BlackBerry’s security software, the KEYone is one of the most secure Android smartphones available. You’ll receive monthly security updates - free to download – and the DTEK security app comes pre-installed on the device.

Plenty of power

A 2.0GHz octa-core processor is in charge of keeping all your favourite apps and games running smoothly, backed up by 3GB RAM. If that’s not enough there’s also a huge 3,505mAh battery, which is one of the largest cell capacities available at the moment.

BlackBerry KEYone is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 58.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Core function lacking, ditto Blackberry support I was a loyal Blackberry customer, but no more. I bought the KEYOne assuming it caters to a businesswoman on the move – it does not. The calendar app only works with gmail type accounts, and not business email accounts off your company domain. It's a deal-breaker that I can’t send meeting invites to corporate clients, which worked fine on my old Blackberry. Many others have complained about this on internet forums, which Blackberry has ignored. In addition, I had problems even accessing Technical Support, as you must first provide your device’s IMEI number, and mine gets rejected; I only succeeded by finding the number for Blackberry corporate HQ and getting them to put me through. Technical Support did not provide a solution, and closed the ticket. My letter of complaint to the UK Head of Blackberry, sent recorded delivery, was ignored. I should be a perfect customer for Blackberry, as I have simple needs from my phone – email, calendar, text, calls - and loyal over the years. Not any more: I caution you against buying this phone if you operate from a business email account, and believe Blackberry cares about your “customer experience".

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Black edition blackberry keyone I bought this phone about a month ago after swapping from my Samsung s8. I can honestly say it was the best decision I have made in a long time. Apps run great, keyboard is easy to use now and overall it's the best phone I have had in years One down side, the camera. Not that great but I don't really use it anyways. If you going to get one make sure it's the black edition

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An amazing phone Absolutely love this phone. Beautiful build quality. Crystal clear screen that is more than bright enough in all conditions. Great battery life. Excellent camera. One of the real bonuses for me is the keyboard. I know there are lots of users who think they don't need a keyboard, but if you are a serious user, who is more bothered about productivity than playing games, then it just such a killer feature. And the keyboard shortcuts are amazing. Whilst no-keyboard users are swiping frantically at their glass screen I can just press ONE KEY and call me wife. Hit another key and I am calling a colleague. Long press the same key and I am sending an SMS to that colleague. Or hit another key and I can open a particular app - and that's not to mention the convenience key on the right hand side. I'm hard pushed to think of anything I don't like. Oh, but a word of warning. Make sure to get the later version of the phone that has more RAM and double the onboard storage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I saved to buy this phone for a while and after using it for some time can confidently say I will be sticking with the BlackBerry brand from now on. Everyone told me BlackBerry was dead and tried to discourage me from buying it , well I did buy it and am not disappointed at all. I had an iPhone 6s before this which needed charging twice a day , and generally can't compare to my BlackBerry at all. This is a fantastic production phone , great camera and the battery is amazing lasting about one and a half days for me with Business use. Typing emails is easier with less chance of errors. I definitely recommend this phone
