Overview

Introducing Pixel Phone by Google

Meet Pixel

The power of Google at your fingertips.
Every touch, every interaction, every moment - made easy. Available in 2 sizes.

Your own personal Google Assistant

Ask it questions. Tell it to do things.
To start, just say 'OK Google', or touch and hold the Home button. And the more you use it, the more useful it gets. It's your own personal Google, always ready to help.1

Your phone, never full

Never lose a memory with unlimited storage for your photos and videos, all stored at full resolution in Google Photos. And use Smart Storage to let Pixel help free up space when you need it. Just set it up once and say goodbye to photos and videos triggering those annoying "storage is full" warnings.1

Your photos, smart

It's easy to capture that perfect shot. Take crisp photos, even in low light. And catch action shots as they happen with Smartburst. Once you've captured the moment, Google Photos keeps all your photos backed up and organised, so that you can find and share them fast.

Your closest friends, closer

Google Duo is a simple video calling app for Android & iOS that brings you face-to-face with just a tap. And with the Knock Knoc feature, you'll see the caller before you pick up, so that you never miss a moment.2

Your chats, your style

Google Allo is a smart messaging app that helps you say more and do more. Bring your personal Google Assistant into your group chats to find restaurants nearby, share videos to watch, and get answers. Express yourself better with stickers, Smart Reply3 and much more.

Your battery, charged fast

When you need a quick charge, the reversible USB Type-C charger gets you up to 7 hours of battery life in just 15 minutes. 4 And when you aren't using your phone, Doze automatically puts it into a sleep state to extend your battery life, so that you can move at your speed.

Your case by Google

Designed using imagery from Google Earth and Google Trends, each Live Case not only features beautiful case artwork but also a companion live wallpaper that showcases either striking images from around the world or top trending Google searches.

1. Unlimited backups for photos and videos taken with your Pixel phone. Requires Google account. Data rates may apply.

2. Compatible with Android 4.1 and up and iOS 9 and up. Internet connection required.

3. Feature only available in English.

4. Battery claims based on charging with the included charger and a mix of talk, data and standby use. An active display.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Rach2017 from Excellent battery life I bought this phone a month ago. Previous phone was Samsung Galaxy which always struggled to get to the end of the day without requiring a recharge. Am not generally an 'early adopter' and was hesitant about the price but this phone is fantastic. Battery is brilliant. Switching between apps easy. Love everything.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Stephenlapper from Better than iPhone! Decided to make the switch from iPhone (7 Plus) to Google Pixel. I've previously owned Samsung phones but mainly been an iPhone user. What a great phone. The screen resolution is excellent, especially when viewing the HD wallpapers provided. Read certain reviewers comments about the poor sound, but to be honest, it's absolutely fine. No complaints here. The camera is superb. Better than the iPhone 7 Plus & S7 edge, in my opinion. Photos look sharper, especially in good light. Plenty of features and the design of the phone is very smart. The fingerprint sensor on the back takes some getting used to but is another different feature to enjoy. So, like me, if you have become a bit disillusioned with iPhone & don't fancy the Samsung galaxy series, go for the Google Pixel. You won't be disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by djc8391 from Best smartphone of 2016 There is a reason why numerous tech sites and sources are naming the pixel as not only the best android phone of 2016 but the best overall smartphone of 2016. With both the hardware and software coming directly from google, you are getting one of the most optimised and speedy experiences available, with only apples iPhone offering competition. Though the phone may lack gimmicky features offered by other manufacturers, the pixel makes up for it by excelling in all the areas that actually matter. You get the best rated smartphone camera ever, insanely quick charging that doesn't cause the phone to explode, incredibly good battery life and an amazing software experience that offers updates to the latest versions of android for the next 2 years. The build quality and design of this phone is excellent, which may be partly due to the phone being manufactured by HTC. Though the design of the pixel has divided a lot of people, I personally like the look of the phone. The glass window on the back makes the phone stand out amongst all the metal slab phones that are available whilst also allowing for better signal reception. If you are a bit on the fence about this phone because of the design, then I would highly recommend playing with one in person as it does grow on you. Bottom line is, if you want a brilliant phone that does everything to the highest standard then you're looking at either the Pixel or the iPhone. It all comes down to which operating system you prefer.
