New Contract
A pristine iPhone is a beautiful thing: clean lines and smooth, shiny surfaces. But sadly, a new phone doesn’t often stay that way for long. Most of us lead busy lives and spend a lot of time multitasking. Whether you’re texting while grocery shopping, or FaceTiming while running for the bus, there’s many an opportunity for your phone to slip out of your hand. You might be lucky and only get an unsightly scratch on your phone, but you could end up with a smashed, unusable screen. This is why an iPhone case is invaluable.
While we all want our Apple mobile phones to look pretty and work properly for longer, protecting your phone from damage is about more than that. An Apple phone case can save you money in the short term - it’s not cheap to get an iPhone screen replaced - and in the long term. When it comes to upgrading, to get the best trade-in price for your current phone, it needs to be tip-top condition.
We have a great range of Apple phone cases designed to fit all recent models of iPhone. Check out these and many more mobile phone accessories at Carphone Warehouse.
MagSafe is Apple’s innovative technology that uses magnets for faster wireless charging. In iPhone 12 and later, around the internal charging coil, there’s a circle of magnets, and in a MagSafe charger there’s a circle of opposing magnets. The two circles snap together to hold the phone in the perfect place for optimal charging. But what if you want to use a MagSafe charger and protect your phone with a case at the same time? Easy, you just need a MagSafe case.
A MagSafe iPhone case is specially designed to facilitate the use of MagSafe wireless charging, and other accessories that use the technology, such as stands and wallets. It has magnets inside to strengthen the attachment, whereas a non-MagSafe case may weaken the attachment. iPhone MagSafe cases are available for iPhone 12 and later.
For many of us our phones have become like accessories, and we use our iPhone case to show off our personal style. You can match the colour of the case to your phone or choose something completely different. Or if you want, you can change your case as often as you change your outfit. However you do it, your choice of Apple phone case can say a lot about you.
If you like a bold colour to stand out from the crowd, why not go for a bright purple or pink phone case? Maybe you’d prefer something more classic, like a white or black phone case. Or do you have a signature colour? If all your accessories have to be blue, then choose a blue phone case.
And if you’re begrudgingly getting a case - but you’d really rather leave your iPhone as it is, thank you very much! - a clear iPhone case is perfect for you. It lets the colour and look of the phone shine through while keeping it protected.
As well as different colours, there are also different materials available. Your choice of material may not be a style choice - though it could be. A leather phone case gives a traditional vibe, while a metal iPhone case, has more of a modern, tech vibe. It could be more a question of durability, protection, or grip. For example, if your iPhone is forever slipping out of your hand, try a silicone phone case, as they have excellent grip.
When you buy a genuine Apple phone case, not only is your iPhone protected but the case is too. Under the Apple case warranty, you’re covered for one year for manufacturing defects. So, if something goes wrong with the case, you can reach out to Apple Support who will assist you with getting a replacement. Protection for your protection!
Unfortunately, it can be quite hard to tell if iPhone cases are genuine Apple products or fake, as counterfeiters are very good at copying the products, boxes, labels, etc. The best way to make sure you’re buying a genuine Apple phone case is to buy from a trusted source, like Carphone Warehouse.
The circle on the back of an Apple phone case is the MagSafe technology which allows the iPhone to snap into position on a MagSafe wireless charger. The ring is visible on clear iPhone cases but usually it’s hidden on coloured cases.
Before cleaning your leather case, remove it from your iPhone. Use a clean cloth with warm water and mild hand soap to gently dab it clean. Please be aware that cleaning a leather iPhone case might affect its colour.
Remove your iPhone from the silicone phone case before cleaning. Use a soft, slightly damp, lint-free cloth to wipe the outside and the inside of the iPhone case. Don't use any other types of cleaner as they might damage the silicone.
To remove an iPhone case, hold your phone with the screen pointing downwards and the camera lenses facing you. With your thumb, gently push the phone through the camera cut out. This should release the top of your phone and make it easy to completely separate the case from the phone.
