Design And Display

Get the lost in the drama

The 6.2” display features a cinematic 21:9 aspect ratio to bring your movies and shows to life. It’s perfect for multitasking too. Split the screen and have the group chat open while you watch the next episode.

Swipe in comfort

Despite the wide display, the slim design fits perfectly in your hand. And the mini display feature lets you type, navigate and open apps one-handed.

Fit more in the frame

The Xperia L4 features a triple camera system for crisp and detailed photos. So whether you’re squeezing everyone into the group shot or taking spectacular landscapes, the wide and ultra-wide angle cameras have you covered.

Creative portraits

Experiment with brilliant bokeh effects thanks to the depth camera. By blurring the background, you can really focus in on your subject for next-level portraits.

Under the Hood

Stay connected for longer

For power that lasts, check out the 3580 mAh battery. It’s compatible with fast charging, so you’ll be back at full battery before you know it.

Space for more room

The 64 GB storage provides enough space for the important stuff. But if you want to store all your music, photos and games, pop in a microSD card for up to 512 GB more room.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Really disappointing Bought this device a few weeks back to replace a Nokia 3.1 plus. The screen on the Xperia is not responsive at all, it doesn't work well unless you are holding the phone, i.e touching the screen with your fingers doesn't do anything if the phone is just resting on a surface. The brightness is weak too and the range of brightness is terrible. The screen doesn't dim down as much as I want for bed-time or low light reading. The screen doesn't go bright enough to see it in sunlight. There is no night-mode (the orange filter) because this phone has only got Android 9, which in 2021 is frankly embarrassing for Sony. The external speaker is very weak and I am unable to hear a podcast while working in the kitchen, for example. The sound distortion at the upper end of the volume is very noticeable and makes listening to anything quite unpleasant. The location of the lock screen button is simply bad. You accidentally lock the device when picking it up or just using it with your right hand. The GPS is inaccurate on Strava, and has lots of errors which my older device never had, it shows the GPS coordinates jumping about all over the place. The camera is terrible too. There is no slow-motion option which is annoying, but the overall quality is so bad the lack of slow-mo seems like a small omission. The battery life is surprisingly bad also. I suspect that the screen uses quite a bit of power. It lasts about 5 hours of use before it gets a low battery warning. This phone also only comes with a slow charger just to add insult to injury. It's a real shame that this device is so bad, I know it's a budget smartphone but it feels like a budget phone from 5 years ago. Next time I will spend a bit more and get a pixel. Cheers.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good quality, Nice for a budget phone I bought this phone and the triple camera is a scam!!!! only the middle one actually works!! Thats the only negative thing i have to say about this phone but other than that, its a great phone and i recommend :).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent phone for those on a budget Sure, it's not got the camera of the top smart phones, but the L4 has a couple of handy features that enhance usability - the side-sense side menu and an icon to allow easy and fast screen split, with favourites automatically saved and while this is a large phone - has one handed switch to make operation easier for small hands. I've found battery life on Sony phones to be good and this phone seems to be no exception. For the price, the Sony L4 is a very good option.
