Samsung Galaxy A40 is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 35.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Fwaking phone So bought this phone so I can travel until it was glitchy and breaking down
Date published: 2020-12-13
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Looks the part, doesn't work It has all the shiny features of a good phone but totally fails on all the basics. Can't cope when receiving a call, with most calls dropped by the time the phone lets you know it's incoming. Touch screen is beyond useless with it being activated by all sorts of things. Put it in your pocket and you'll have 30 failed attempts to open it next time you look. There is a setting to avoid that, but it has zero impact in reality. Constantly frustrating, rarely satisfying.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Many problems with the buttons Haven't had this phone for even 1 years and a few months ago the on and off button stopped working same as the volume button. Asked to get it fixed but told Samsung wouldn't fix it.
Date published: 2020-11-03
Rated 1 out of 5 by from evil version Compared to the old Samsung Galaxy A5 phone, the A40 version is much worse. There are flaws here that are permanent and some that appear from time to time. It spoils the image of this phone. - it is not possible to assign a new contact to a group - no option (Always on display) - notifications work when they want - the phone loses network coverage no connection - the internet does not work properly, instead of 4G is H or there is nothing - when traveling by train, the phone lost network coverage and also the Internet, although other people around me were using the phone or talking on the phone. I did not think that samsung will break so bad, after so many years of using their phone models. I advise against buying the A40 version
