Mobile Phone Insurance
Nowadays, our mobiles are central to our lives. They’re not only our means with which to communicate with friends and family, they’re how we plan our days, do our banking, keep ourselves entertained on our commute, and a myriad of other things. So if you have an issue we know it’s important that the mobile insurance claim process is as quick and easy as possible.
We two levels of cover: Mobile Lite and Mobile Complete. With Mobile Lite, you can claim insurance for a damaged mobile, and with Mobile Complete you can also make a lost or stolen mobile insurance claim. Both policies cover you both at home and abroad, and offer you support from our team of experts over the phone and in store, to help with any mobile-related problems.
When making a mobile insurance claim, you will need to have the information below to make your claim:
In addition to this, if you’re making a lost or stolen mobile insurance claim - remember, only our Mobile Complete policy covers theft and loss - you’ll need to have taken the following steps before making your claim:
Both of these will be verified prior to your claim being accepted and we may ask you to provide written evidence of either.
Now you’re ready to start the mobile insurance claim process, you can do so in the following ways:
If you’d rather talk to a person, give us a ring today, our experts are standing by to help.
Please be aware that deliberately providing false information as part of your claim is a crime. We’re committed to protecting our customers by identifying and investigating fraudulent claims. The details of fraudulent claims may be passed to the police and other relevant authorities, and may also be placed on a register of claims through which insurers share information.
If you want to do something other than claim on your mobile insurance, our mobile insurance support page has all the information to help you. Maybe you’ve got married or moved house and need to update your personal details. Or maybe you’ve changed banks and need to update your Direct Debit.
What if you decide you no longer need cover for your mobile? No problem, cancelling your mobile insurance is simple. You can cancel insurance at any time.

If you’ve lost your mobile and you have our Mobile Complete insurance policy, we’ll need verification from your network that the mobile has been blocked. So, contact them before you make your claim. We recommend doing this as soon as possible to limit any unauthorised use of your mobile.
If you have our Mobile Complete policy, you’re covered for theft. If your mobile has been stolen, you must report it to the police, and request a crime reference number (CRN) before you make your claim. You’ll need the CRN to substantiate your claim. If you’re unable to get a CRN, please call us on 0800 049 0221 to discuss this with us.
We’ll also need to verify that your mobile has been blocked. We recommend you contact your network as soon as possible to get this done. Blocking your mobile will also stop anyone else using your mobile and running up charges.
To claim for damage or breakdown, we’ll need to assess your mobile, so please bring it to a Currys store. We can then arrange a repair or replacement. If you can’t bring your mobile into a store, please call us on 0800 049 0221. If the incident happens while you’re abroad, we won’t be able to deal with your claim until the mobile is in the UK and available for assessment.
You can make a claim for an incident that occurred any time after the start date of the policy.
To find one of our Currys Shops, use our Store Locator. For accidental damage claims, you will need to bring your device into the store.
