Design and display

A great view from any angle

The Nokia 6’s impressive display measures 5.5-inches from corner to corner, and has wide viewing angles. So, if you’re watching a film on the train with a mate, neither of you will miss any of the action - even in bright sunlight.

Durable design

Built from a single piece of aluminium, the Nokia 6 is as tough as it is good-looking. It features Corning Gorilla Glass defence on the display, and everything on the inside will be protected too, with the fingerprint scanner embedded in the home button.

Camera

High quality photographs

At 16MP, the Nokia 6’s camera is well-placed to deliver both impressive photos and videos. It features a technology called phase detection autofocus, which is designed to make sure you never come away with a blurry shot.

Picture-perfect seflies

On the front of the smartphone is an 8MP lens to make sure you get pin-sharp selfies. It as autofocus, too, so if you need a quick snap of the gang, it’ll always look great.

Under the hood

A true Android experience

Pure Android is normally reserved for Google’s own products, but Nokia has chosen to adopt the clean and simplistic user interface, too. Most manufacturers layer their own UI on top of Android, but with the Nokia 6, you get the mobile experience Google designed in house.

Do more with Nokia 6

With a 1.4GHz octa-core processor and 3GB RAM, the Nokia 6 is well-suited to looking after all your multi-tasking needs. There’s also 32GB of internal storage, with the option of adding a microSD card to take your space up by a massive 256GB.

Accessories

Nokia 6 is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 52.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Mid range phone with some serious compromises. Ny Nexus 5x died recently with a mainboard failure. I was looking for a mid-range replacement device with a 'pure' Android (no skins, as envisaged by Google) operating system and timely updates. I settled on the Nokia 6. The phone has a basic, 'classic' design and seems to be very strong and well built - HMD has definitely kept Nokia's build quality in mind when building this (it's actually not a Nokia, but uses the Nokia brand under license). It has the latest Android software, and HMD are already rolling out the monthly security update for September. Support is promised for the next 2 years, meaning an update to Android O (and probably P) will happen. In terms of features, the display is good and sharp, it has fingerprint ID on the home key (although I prefer the Nexus placement on the rear), and battery life is OK. There is NFC support for Android Pay (but does not work consistently for me - it has failed to be read twice on the bus), and it has a good amount of on-board storage and RAM. To achieve this, some corners have been cut ... the processor is already outdated meaning the device is sluggish in some areas, and the photo quality is poor; the slightest movement causes blurring and the pictures are consistently flat and dull. The slow processor, together with the camera hardware, also means the camera app is very slow to launch making it hard to capture spur of the moment images. Finally, there is no fast-charge or USB-C connection support, but this is OK if (like me) you charge overnight and use periodically during the day. The overall experience is a solidly built phone that will be good for basics/

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'm amazed! Got the phone form here couple of days ago and I've been surprised with the quality of the materials used on it. The aluminium frame is so smooth just glides on my palm. Great internal features, software needed a bit of tuning in settings but other than that this device is worth every penny maybe a bit more! Well done to Nokia, wish u a great comeback

Rated 2 out of 5 by from No notification led A 2017 phone and no notification led, amazing companies shoot themselves in the feet like this. Not sure if my NFC works or not and sometimes the finger print / home button has no response requiring reset of the phone to work. Bluetooth audio is great, screens nice, email feels so unorganised compared to blackberry 10, battery life slightly better than Z30. Nice build quality.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Happy with ALMOST everything... Of course, the camera isn't great but the phone works well, runs smoothly and looks and feels like a flagship. But the one thing I just can't get over.... I cannot get vibration notifications for text messages. Calls are fine. I have played with the settings. It may be a Nougat bug or a phone bug. But either way I cannot find a fix!
