New Contract
If you haven’t heard of the Honor brand before, then there’s every chance you’ll be hearing more and more about this dynamic and quickly-growing tech firm as time goes on. Established in 2013 as part of Huawei, they’ve since gone their own way to develop a range of smart, innovative and impressive pieces of Honor technology for personal, home and everyday use.
HONOR wants to enable “a smart life across all scenarios and all channels, for all people” and they’ve made a great start on that aim with Honor phones, laptops and, as seen at Currys, Honor tablets and Honor watches, all of which have received positive vibes from tech users.
So if you’re wondering “is Honor a good brand?” then Carphone Warehouse invites you to check out our great range of Honor products and see for yourself.
Say it loud: Honor phones are the real deal. Powered by the Android operating system and packed with impressive tech and features, the Honor phone range of the last few years has seen models that can rival some of the best Samsung or Apple mobiles. They’re attractively priced too, with a range of price points to suit all budgets while not compromising on quality whatsoever.
Take the Honor Magic5 Pro, for instance. Released in 2023, this Honor mobile phone packs a punch with a pixel-perfect 6.81 inch OLED display, a long-lasting 5100mAh battery (coming in at 33 hours of talk time) and an exciting 50MP triple-lens camera set-up. Throw in a 12MP selfie camera for great face-on photos and video calls, a speedy Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and a whopping 512GB of internal memory and you have yourself one of the leading Android phones on the market. The circular rear camera design is really eye-catching too, and it could be argued that the Magic5 Pro is the best Honor phone yet.
Equally attractive and impressive, the popular Honor 70 is another big-hitter among the leading Honor mobile phones. Available in sumptuous Crystal Silver, Emerald Green and Midnight Black colourways and sporting a 54MP IMX800 Super Sensing camera it has an incredibly premium feel despite being more budget-friendly than many of its rivals. The curved-edge 6.67 inch OLED display means that playing games and steaming videos is a great experience, as does the 120Hz refresh rate of 120 times per second.
The Honor Magic4 Pro is a great value mobile phone in that, as a slightly older model, you’ll pay a little less than you would for a more recently released handset. But what really adds up is the fact that this phone, first issued in 2022, more than stands up against its successors. With a crisp and curved 6.81 inch OLED display it matches the Magic5 Pro for size and has an equally sexy circular camera set-up on the rear. The 64MP triple lens camera takes impressive pics, and with a 4600mAh battery and 100W Wireless SuperCharge you’re looking at a recharge speed of 50% in 15 minutes.
If you’re budget-conscious, then the Honor X8a is a phone well worth considering. Sleek looking and available in black, green or silver colourways, the X8a features a powerful 100MP triple-lens camera, which is great for a phone in this price range. The 6.7 inch and 1080 x 2388 pixel display is good too, and the 90Hz refresh rate makes it a winner for gaming.
Many of these great Honor mobiles can be picked up as pay monthly phones, and there’s also a great range of phone accessories including the Honor X8 phone case, to keep your Honor phone in tip-top pristine condition.
So, if you’re looking for a great new premium-performance phone without the premium price tag, Honor phones are a great choice.
