eSIM FAQs
What is an eSIM?
An embedded SIM (eSIM) is a digital version of a physical SIM card. Activated by downloading an eSIM profile, an eSIM allows you to access multiple networks from one phone.
What are the benefits of an eSIM?
An eSIM allows you to switch between multiple numbers, quickly and easily – super handy if you use one phone number for personal use and one for work.
Because there’s no physical SIM, it’s more secure - and there’s no risk of damaging or losing your SIM. It’s also quicker to replace, as you don’t need to wait for a physical delivery.
Can I have more than one eSIM profile?
Yes, you can! Each eSIM profile equates to an individual, separate mobile number. With an eSIM-enabled phone, you can easily add multiple profiles.
How do I add another eSIM profile to my phone?
You can add another eSIM profile to your phone by buying a new subscription from your chosen network provider.
Did you know you can label each of your new eSIM profiles as you add them (“Work”, “Personal” etc)?
Once you’ve added your eSIM profiles to your phone, you can easily switch between them, depending on which number you want to call, message or use data from.
How does eSIM work?
An eSIM works in the same way as a traditional SIM card but is digital rather than physical. It’s embedded in your phone, so you don’t see it. It allows you to use multiple numbers across different networks on one device.
How do I find out if my phone is eSIM compatible?
You can check the product pages on our website and filter to see available SIM types.
Alternatively, on your phone’s keypad, type in *#06#. You'll be presented with your IMEI, and if you are also presented with an EID, it means your phone is eSIM compatible
