If you already have your PAC or STAC code, you will need to call us now on 0800 049 6250, or visit one of our stores to complete your purchase and then we can start the switching process for you. Alternatively, you can provide your PAC or STAC code later after you have purchased online, over the phone or in store.
From 1st July 2019, pulling a Switcheroo is now a whole lot easier!
Why? Because Ofcom, the communications regulator, has made it a lot simpler for consumers to switch mobile networks.
The first thing you need for switching is a PAC or STAC code. You’ll now be able to get one of these quickly by text – see below. You can also get one through your online account or by phoning your existing network.
Its the code your new network needs if you want to switch network & KEEP your existing number. Text PAC to 65075 to get your PAC code within 60 seconds.
Its the code your new network needs if you want to switch network, take a NEW number and cancel your old contract. Text STAC to 75075 to get your STAC code within 60 seconds.
- Your new SIM from Carphone Warehouse
- Existing mobile number
- Temporary mobile number (You can find this on the Invoice which is delivered with the phone)
- PAC or STAC code

- If you are still in contract with your current provider, any outstanding fees will need to be paid. These will be billed on your usual Direct Debit date, not on the day you switch.
Your Direct Debit will cancel automatically after any outstanding fees have been taken.
Requesting your PAC or STAC code does not complete the full switch. It needs to be given to your new network provider, which we can help you with at Carphone Warehouse.
