O2 Ready to pull a switcheroo to O2

SWITCHING HAS BEEN MADE SIMPLER

From 1st July 2019, pulling a Switcheroo is now a whole lot easier!

Why? Because Ofcom, the communications regulator, has made it a lot simpler for consumers to switch mobile networks.

The first thing you need for switching is a PAC or STAC code. You’ll now be able to get one of these quickly by text – see below. You can also get one through your online account or by phoning your existing network.

WHAT’S A PAC CODE?

Its the code your new network needs if you want to switch network & KEEP your existing number. Text PAC to 65075 to get your PAC code within 60 seconds.

WHAT’S A STAC CODE?

Its the code your new network needs if you want to switch network, take a NEW number and cancel your old contract. Text STAC to 75075 to get your STAC code within 60 seconds.

What you’ll need to switch networks:

- Your new phone or SIM from Carphone Warehouse

- Existing mobile number

- Temporary mobile number (You can find this on the Invoice which is delivered with the phone or SIM)

- PAC or STAC code

Here is what you need to do to keep your number:

Purchase your new phone or SIM on O2 from Carphone Warehouse and activate your new SIM

On receiving your new SIM, Text PAC from your old SIM to 65075 to get your PAC code within 60 seconds - This PAC is valid for 30 days. If it runs out, you can request another

Click here, Call 0344 809 0202 or Call 202 (from your new phone) and provide the details requested.

Your number will be transferred within 1 working day to your NEW contract and your OLD contract will automatically end.

Happy to take a new number, here is what you need to do:

Purchase your new phone or SIM on O2 for Carphone Warehouse and activate your new SIM

On receiving your new SIM, Text STAC from your old SIM to 75075 to get your STAC code within 60 seconds - This STAC is valid for 30 days. If it runs out, you can request another.

Visit here, Call 0344 809 0202 or Call 202 (from your new phone) and provide the details requested.

This will be processed within 1 working day and your OLD contract will automatically end.
