Sony Xperia Z5 Compact is rated 3.55 out of 5 by 40.
Rated 1 out of 5 by Sony Z5 user from Serious design flaws! I have owned all/most Z compacts from the series and have loved them overall. The camera quality is incredible, the processor is extremely ept and it provides a brilliant user experience. HOWEVER, I can honestly say this will be my last. The constant (and expensive) cracking of the screen is an insult. Despite being very precious with my phone, after a week, the screen cracked spontaneously. I repair it, and within 2 days, it had cracked again. Even the person repairing my phone witnessed the spontaneous cracking after just touching the screen when putting a new one on. From online forums, it appears that screen cracking and screen sensor failure is a common issue, and it is also extremely expensive to repair. A £380 phone has now cost me nearly £600 within the first month. I rarely leave reviews, but I would encourage potential buyers to consider another make. Samsung seems to have better build quality and are only slightly more expensive for a comparitive model. If Sony could have a stronger screen it would be a near perfect phone.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Hezza from It works well, when it works I only got this phone in January but I'm already considering getting a new phone. When it's not overheating, it works perfectly fine. However I've had a few issues with it that have made it frustrating to use. One of the first issues I had was it constantly freezing up and crashing whenever I tried to open any app, it would be incredibly slow in loading pages and typing was a nightmare. Opening up the camera app was a recipe for disaster, so I had no other choice but to do a factory reset. Once I'd done that it worked perfectly! However after a few months it's beginning to play up again by overheating so much it makes it hard to hold or keep in my trouser pocket as it gets very hot! Another issue is that I can't transfer data over to the Micro SD card, as any time I try to it gives me the error message "Unfortunately memory has stopped." and I have completely run out of internal memory. The battery life isn't that great either if I'm honest, I find myself having to charge it in the early evening around 5/6pm just so it doesn't die, and I have to carry my portable charger everywhere. TL;DR this phone is really great when it works and I have no complaints when it does work. However it's pretty buggy and glitchy and overheats so often that it's hard to leave a review of it when it works fine, which is hardly ever.
