Rated 1 out of 5 by PaulF from Beset with issues. I am now on my second M5 which is going back today. My previous Motorola had very good mobile reception, picking up 4G without a problem and hanging on to the signal in patchy areas. Both M5s I have had seem to randomly drop from 4G to Edge, even when standing still and I often lose 4G even in town. The phone also heats up in average use(web browsing) and the screen brightness fluctuates even with adaptive brightness turned off. I also get random flashes of interference across half the screen as iff the graphics processor has a fault. I really like Sony phones but I am afraid I cannot recommend the M5 based on my experience.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous from Sony m5 Lovely phone, great cameras on the front and back. I have only had the phone for under a week but my previous phone was a Sony Z. This phone is very similar but much more up to date! The only problem I am having with the phone is trying to find an appropriate phone case as it seems the only place you can find them is online. Brilliant phone so far, feels great and looks fantastic!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Anonymous from Wouldnt recommend for texting! I purchased this phone because of good reviews about its camera. I only use my phone for texting and taking pictures, but only rarely for the internet (as I use my tablet/laptop for that). The camera is great but texting is NOT. Whereas my previous phones have always allowed me to send and receive texts of up to 6 texts in length, with messages being sent or received intact, this handset splits up texts and sends them in random orders. Even a 3 message text gets split up randomly. Parts 1 and 3 may arrive first and part 2 several minutes later, or you may get it all intact. When I send 4 message texts, parts 1 & 3 arrived together and then parts 2 & 4 arrive a while later, despite me having excellent signal. I haven't even tried texts longer than 4 in length, if it cant cope with ones 4 in length. This is my SECOND handset and second network in 10 days, as I initially thought it was a network problem, but not so. I now have perfect network signal and the second handset is still splitting up my texts randomly, exactly the same as the first handset, so it must be the handsets. So in summary, I have spent several days testing at various times of the day, by sending texts between the family's phones and have concluded it will not receive them reliably at all - out of 8 texts I sent to this handset this morning, each 3 messages long, only 2 came through intact, the remainder were split up. This is annoying and I will just have to send lots of very short texts instead for the next 24 months ;) I would not recommend this phone to anyone who sends a lot of texts that are more than one text message long, based on my experiences and for that reason I have given it one star for performance and overall rating. Carphone Warehouse on the otherhand were absolutely brilliant and I highly recommend them. They have been polite and professional throughout, both their customer services and the guys in the shop.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from pleased with product but a bit disappointed that at £300 you are not supplied with headphones . also there was no security seal on box . which leaves me wondering if this had been returned.
