What Carphone Say

“The Q6 from LG is everything we loved about the flagship G6, but on a slightly smaller scale. Perfect if you’re looking to save a few pennies, while not settling for low quality.”

Design and display

18:9 screen ratio

The Q6’s display measure 5.5-inches from corner to corner, and just like its big brother, the G6, it features the brand new ratio size, 18:9. This means you get an additional slither of screen at both the top and bottom, making for a better landscape viewing experience than ever before.

Eye-catching design

At just 8.1mm, the Q6 is super slim and only weighs 149g. The overall build is the headline, however, and without doubt the future of smartphone design. The display takes up the vast majority of the face of the device, getting rid of the physical home button all together.

Everyone fits in the frame

There’s no need for a selfie stick when you’ve got the LG Q6. The front-facing 5MP camera gives you the option of a 100-degree wide-angle mode, so you’ll always be able to fit the whole gang in the frame.

And, you’ll never have to enter a password or code ever again, with the facial-recognition unlocking function. Simply pick up your phone, look at it, and you’re in.

Sharp photos every time

On the back of the Q6 is a 13MP lens with autofocus technology, built in as standard. This means you’ll be able to easily avoid blur in your photos and videos, and get that first shot right every time.

Under the hood

Faster charging

Power up quicker with USB Type-C. Type-C is the latest charging technology, letting you inject more charge, and transfer files, much quicker than the previous, microUSB. The charging port and plug are also symmetrical, so you’ll never get it round the wrong way.

Do more at once

On the inside of the LG Q6 is a 1.4GHz octa-core Snapdragon 435 processor. It will supply plenty of power when using all your favourite apps, and it’s backed up by a whopping 3GB RAM.

LG Q6 is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from It's a good phone but... I bought this phone back in August 2017 and it's a good phone with DTS surround sound after a late Android 8 update. The 32GB and the fact it's expandable is a good feature. The only thing it let down is battery because the phone goes through a full day charge within 6 hours of taking it off charge, Also the screen Although it's a LED screen it has a seriously bad screen burn in issue so when you leave it with the screen on your going to have the burn in issue.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good but some changes needed I bought this phone a few months ago and to be honest, it was an amazing first phone. It was cheap but it was still perfect quality and it was love at first sight. I would say we need more features such as a fingerprint scanner and a more advanced camera.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Only the display The only thing good about it is the display. It does not have a fingerprint reader and the alternative (face detection) is absolute trash, it works 60% of the times. And also the back is made out of cheap plastic that scratches even if you look at it. Finally, a Snapdragon 4 series is unacceptable for a phone above £200.
