  • Pure Android experience

The Android operating system as it was intended, and always first to update.

  • Improved camera

The rear camera weighs in at 12.3MP and now lets in more light than ever, meaning sharper photos.

  • Premium design

The plastic rear keeps the handset lightweight, without taking anything away from its premium design.

A comfortable size

"LG has been involved in the Nexus game before, and now its back with all guns blazing. The thin and lightweight design takes nothing away from the premium feel, sitting naturally in the palm."

Quality display

"Fronting the 5X is a 5.2-inch Full HD display, offering a pixel density of 424 per/inch. Colours are bright and blacks are deep, making both photos and videos look really impressive."

Best in class

"The Nexus 5X features the same 12.3MP camera as its big brother, the 6P. And with bigger pixels now letting in more light, photos will look sharper and brighter than ever. If that’s not enough, you can also launch the camera with a quick flick of your wrist – even from the lock screen."

Making sure you look your best

"To ensure you look your best in selfies, the front-facing camera weighs in at an impressive 5MP. And just like the rear camera, the pixels have been boosted in size to capture more detail."

Under the hood

"The Nexus 65X’s battery capacity comes in at a 2,700mAh, which will happily see you through the day. And, with USB Type-C fast-charging on board, you’ll spend both less time plugged in and no longer have to fiddle with getting the charging cable the right way round."

The beating heart

"An impressive 1.8GHz hexa-core processor powers the 5X, making multitasking a smooth process. Do more at the same time and don’t let anything hold you back."

Other features

Gesture controls

"To launch the 12.3MP camera, even from the lock screen, twist your wrist twice and never miss those fleeting moments again."

Fingerprint sensor

"With a smudge-resistant coating, the rear fingerprint sensor won’t stumble if you’ve been getting your hands dirty with something else. You don’t even need to press any buttons, as it knows when you’re resting on the sensor and will automatically unlock."

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great phone....until it died I loved that phone until one day it turned off and couldnt be turned back on. I checked online and apparently it's a common problem with the Nexus 5X. I won't buy again

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great to begin with but not future proof. It is a good phone but after a while i had lots of problems with battery life and charging, the fast charge didn't last long and doze mode gave up after a while as well. Then last week the 7.1.2 killed it whilst on holiday and Google did nothing to help so I've had to buy a new phone.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dead as a Dodo I really loved this phone, perfect size, lovely screen great camera, but then the bootloop happened and now it's dead. So i REALLY wouldn't recommend it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Brilliant - but doesn't last I've had this for just under 13 months. I had the Nexus 5 before this. I loved everything about this phone apart from the dismal battery life - it barely lasted a day and I am a light user. However, the last few weeks it has been tempremental and kept cutting out and shutting down. Today it has just died completely and apparently can't be repaired. Exactly the same happened with my Nexus 5 just before the 13 month mark. So when it works it is a top phone, but now I'm twice bitten it has completely put me off buying a Nexus again. With another 12 months of the contract left to run it has been a very expensive mistake which I don't intend to repeat.
