DESIGN AND DISPLAY

Looks the business

The LG G7 ThinQ is a clean-looking, sleek phone that lets the bright LCD screen take centre stage. Its smooth curves create a comfortable grip, and its unibody glass design is a big upgrade from the metal LG G5.

Brightness to the max

You can expect maximum brightness from the 6.1-inch Quad HD+ FullVision display – 1,000 nits of brightness to be exact – making it the most vibrant display on the market. The screen’s even easy to view in bright sunlight, while saving you up to 30% more battery than the G6.

Make a splash

Bad weather conditions or poolside lounging – nothing’s coming between you and your phone. The LG G7 ThinQ has an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, so splashes and rain won’t slow you down.

CAMERA

Great shots, night and day

The LG G7 ThinQ’s dual-lens AI camera has some serious low-light credentials. Its bright lens, larger pixels and bigger sensor all combine make your photos crisp and detailed - even in the darkest of settings.

Your best shot, guaranteed

The amazing AI-powered camera cleverly analyses the setting you’re capturing and picks one of 19 scene categories for you – no more adjusting camera settings. It even chooses four optimised filters for you – so you’ll always get the best photo possible.

Great snaps with voice AI

The camera even works with voice AI. All you have to do is say “Take a picture with AI cam” and it captures whatever you’re shooting with optimal settings. You can even activate panorama, expert and video mode using voice command.

UNDER THE HOOD

Bringing the boom

The LG G7 ThinQ’s ‘Boombox’ speaker uses the whole phone as a sound box. Listen to your tunes 17 times louder than you would on the G6. We’re talking deep bass, crisp vocals and an overall richer sound than ever before.

Do more and store more

The LG G7 ThinQ is powered by 4GB RAM to make everything you do fast and seamless - even the biggest multiplayer online games. And you can easily store loads of important stuff by slotting in a microSD card to expand your storage.

LG G7 ThinQ is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another solid phone A decent solid phone packed with high end specs and loads of customizable features. This is my third LG phone (previously G2 and G5) as I've always been happy with LG phones. To be honest, I don't really know why LG is far behind the competition in smartphones market. So far the phone has been great and the battery, which I was worried about is not so bad at all. Sound is great. Display is very vibrant and camera is working just fine. Its not great with low light however if you're really into photography. The only frustrating issue, which I have to say it's shared with other flagship phones as well, is the fact that they are too delicate, although they are made with Gorilla glass , which makes you feel that you have to hide their beauty in a case.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great phone slightly let down by camera Pretty happy with rhe phone so far. I've had Samsung Galaxy phones prevously (S3 and S5) and have always loved them, but have been put off the recent ones by the curved screen and high prices. The LG G7 is a great phone, but with one slight flaw. The main positives for me are SD card expandability, great screen and great audio (through decent headphones). It's also smaller and lighter that some of the alternatives that I was considering. My slight concerns before getting the phone were camera, battery life and the UI. The battery life is fine for me and I can sometimes get 2 days out of it. The UI is also fine and in reality isn't vastly different from Samsung. The only slight negative for me is the camera. Some pictures seem overly saturated and if you look at the pictures at 100% they are a bit lacking in detail (this seems to be heavy handed noise suppression). I'm hoping the next update may fix some of this, as it is supposed to encompass camera improvements. One camera feature that's really useful for me is the wide angle. I think this is much more useful for me than say the 2x zoom on the S9+. If the camera was as good as the Samsung ones then this would pretty much be a perfect phone. However if the S9+ didn't have the curved screen and was cheaper I'd probably have preferred that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a phone! So I've been on android for a few years after leaving apple, ive had 2 samsung a6 2017 and after a cheeky upgrade of 02 got this phone. When choosing this phone it was a stab in the dark but what a shot it was. This phone is has edge to edge display its so bright it makes Rachel Riley look dim, the speakers are so loud its like someone has put a boy racers wet dream inside and the sound is crisp and clea,r the camera is not to be sniffed at also I mean im no really into photography but my Instagram now looks amazing with this cameras performance. So the phone can be customized like you wouldn't believe from every colour you can imagine it supports face recognitions voice recognition and a finger print scanner so no unexpected visitors on your phone (my ex was good at this) as well as the standard security feachers you would get on android. Its a fast charge and also supports wirless charging, my device come with 64gb of internal memory and is able to take a memory card in other words is got more memory then steven Hawkins. The speed of this phone is spot on I mean with many apps running its still as fast as a fat kid on his way to the ice cream van. P.s its also solace proof and works in the rain. If your looking for a phone thats just as good as an iPhone 10 or samsung s9+ but says ive not got a little Willy try this phone

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great phone Purchased this to replace s7 edge with battery issues. No faith in Samsung. I would have been more impressed if it had a replaceable battery like my trusty lg5. The sound is very good plays my flac collection very well. Why do lg supply rubbish headphones? Unlike the v30. Speaker sound is also surprisingly good with the amount of vibration it should sound even louder. The camera is superb an upgraded g5 which is also excellent apart from the low resolution wide angled camera which has been corrected in the g7 with decent resolution unlike my s7. Ai is a gimmick but fun turn it off. The display for me was an issue the aspect ratio was all wrong. However I have got used to it so its not a problem very detailed and bright great for films a very good phone. Battery life is ok not great in 2yrs time I will tell you if its blown its back off like my Samsung please bring back a replaceable battery i still use an lg5 for navigation with a supply of spare batteries in the desert where heat is an issue with fast charging.
