  • Amazing screen quality

The LG G5’s 5.3-inch Quad HD display is top quality, providing deep blacks and really vivid colours.

  • Fingerprint sensor

The fingerprint sensor on the rear of the handset doubles as a clickable power button.

  • Dual camera

The G5 has two cameras on the back, which when used together can capture 24MP photos as wide as the human eye’s field of vision.

  • Premium design and game-changing battery

The all-metal design provides the G5 with a really premium look and feel, while the slide-out battery means you can sub in a new power pack if you’re running low

Design and display

All-metal build

The G5 is carved from a single piece of aluminium, which feels really premium when you hold it in your hand. And round the back there’s a fingerprint sensor, which when clicked doubles up as a power button.

Brilliant display

The 5.3-inch Quad HD display provides crystal clear visuals, and features always-on functionality, so you’ll never miss a notification again.

Camera

Wide-angle dual lens

Two lenses, measuring 16MP and 8MP, can be found on the back of the phone. They can be used independently or together to create super-wide-angle 24MP shots the same width as the human eye’s field of vision.

Spot on selfies

If a double lens on the rear isn’t enough, there’s an 8MP front-facing camera too – perfect for all your selfie and video calling needs.

Under the hood

Lock and load

The G5 has a 2,800mAh removable battery, which can be clicked out the bottom of the handset. If you’re running low on charge and can’t find a spare charging point, simply remove the battery and replace it with a spare power pack.

Under the hood

The almighty Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor is running things behind the scenes on the G5, making light work of apps that demand a lot of power. It also means that multitasking will be a breeze, and won’t slow you down.

Other features

Fingerprint sensor

On the back of the G5 is the power button, which has a fingerprint sensor embedded within it. Once set up, you simply have to rest your finger on the button to unlock the handset.

LG Friends

The removable battery means that a range of accessories, called LG Friends, can be used with the G5. From hi-res speakers by Bang & Olufsen, to Cam Plus, which give the phone a grip and proper shutter button, the possibilities are endless.

LG G5 is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 5 out of 5 by 87465312 from Fantastic I don't understand what the must-have obsession for overpriced iPhones is about. This phone is perfect, from the build, the software, to the specs. The phone is great for any age, as the interface can be changed to suit your needs. One of the things I love the most is the fact that it has fast-charging capabilities. The LG G5 will fully charge much faster than an iPhone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by jazzyazzy from Amazing Phone I've had this phone for just over 1 week and i am not regretting it at all, lg have just released a new home that inclueds an app draw. the camera is outstanding and really can't wait for friends to enhance the entire experience of the phone. all in all it is a great phone and it does exactly what it says on the tin as well as more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Timbob from So far, so... Excellent This LG G5 replaced my HTC M8, only used the phone for one day, but so far the phone has a great feel and is responsive. Camera is great, and I have got used to the fingerprint on button surprisingly quickly (IMO better placed than HTC M8). Transfer of information (phone numbers, media) has been quick and easy using NFC. Music through head phones is excellent, though maybe not quite as good sound through the speakers. However that being said, really looking forward to getting some of the modules /friends to enhance the camera, spare battery, and music boost. I think this is a great idea and something that made me choose the LG G5 other other models on the market. Slight grumble is not being able to get rid of stock apps, but not as many as a Samsung or HTC. Am sure addition skins and playing around in the menu will help me customise the phone to my needs. First impressions have been excellent, looks and feels like a quality Android device and can't wait for the new modules /friends to enhance my experience further.
