Design and display

Super-powered display

The powerful 5.3-inch Quad HD display will guarantee everything you do on the smartphone looks great, and with the always-on display you’ll never miss a notification.

Full metal jacket

The G5 SE is built from a single piece of aluminium with a removable base. And on the rear there’s a circular fingerprint sensor, doubling up as a dedicated power button.

Ultra wide-angle lenses

Unlike more traditional smartphones, the G5 SE has two lenses on the back, capable of capturing quality images the same width as the human eye’s field of view. And at 16MP and 8MP, you can be sure of a high standard.

The perfect video-chat camera

The dual lens may be the headline, but there’s also an 8MP front-facing lens on board, too. Perfect for selfies and video chatting with the likes of Skype and Google’s new app, Duo

Under the hood

Unlimited power

The G5 has a removable 2,800mAh battery, which clicks out the bottom of the phone. So, if you carry and extra battery pack on you, you’ll never be caught short without power again.

More cores = more power

With such a big screen and high-spec camera on board, the G5 SE needs plenty of power to keep it running smoothly. And the octa-core processor does just that. Backed up by 3GB RAM, you’ll have no problem making the most of this feature-packed smartphone.

LG Friends

The removable battery means that a range of accessories, called LG Friends, can be used with the G5 SE. From hi-res speakers by Bang & Olufsen, to Cam Plus, giveing the phone a grip and proper shutter button, the possibilities are endless.

LG G5 SE is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 2 out of 5 by Jaymond from Don't. Just don't. Get a Pixel This is the worst piece of anything I've ever had the misfortune of owning. The glass over the camera cracked for no reason so I got a replacement, and then the glass over the camera cracked and they wouldn't replace it again. The lock button stopped working, the "modular" bit at the bottom that actually doesn't have any modules yet doesn't fit right. The battery is awful. Unless you route it you're stuck with the LG/network tossy OS, it reboots randomly, the same apps I had on my Nexus freeze and lock the phone and cause the lock button is broken you can't reboot it. The fingerprint scanner doesn't work very well, and didn't on the first one I had replaced either. It's terrible. I tried to write a swear word there but it wouldn't let me. Save up another week or two, or if you're upgrading ring your provider and beg and plead for a Pixel, because the G5 is the most horrendous toss I've ever come into contact with.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Foxster99 from Excellent camera, screen size just rigth I took a punt on this as the LG G5 flagship got some stick and isn't available anymore but this like the slightly under powered twin with a SD 652 chip set which on bench marks runs the same as an SD 805/808 same as in the Galaxy Note 4 or LG G4 so its still runs quick enough for me. Forget buying this for the swap able modules they are not worth it but as a stand alone phone everything about it to be honest is great. Camera is fantastic and up there with the best, beautiful screen that's just the right size, coming from amoled took bit of getting used to . Battery seems low at 2800amh but with the lower more power efficient chip it is more than enough to see you through the day and quick charge 3 recharges in no time. I would get a case as its slippery in the hand. I myself wasn't keen at first coming from Samsung but after 2 weeks of use this is turning out to be a really great phone that I would recommend to anyone.
