Design and display

Stunning design

Despite the delicate design, the One A9s is built to last. The dual-finish metal body is made to resist accidental drops and scratches, and the size will make for a comfortable hand-held experience.

High-def display

The 5-inch HD display is built with Corning Gorilla Glass, meaning you’ll not only be able to enjoy top quality visuals, but the chance of it suffering a scratch or break from a small drop is dramatically lower.

Camera

Making memories last

The HTC One A9s’ 13MP camera has autofocus technology built in, meaning you’ll always be looking at crystal clear photos without the hassle of tapping to focus. And if that’s not enough, the BSI (back-illuminated sensor) helps you get great shot when there isn’t enough light.

Express your selfie

On the face of the A9s is a 5MP front-facing lens, just above the display. Enjoy great video-chatting apps like Skype and Google Duo, available to download from the Google Play Store. And of course, it’s perfect for the occasional selfie.

Under the hood

Improve performance

To make sure you enjoy a fast and smooth smartphone experience, HTC has Boost+ in place. This app makes sure power is distributed to the parts of the smartphone that need it most. Meaning you won’t lose power with background apps, or get slowed down while jumping between apps.

Battery life

There’s a 2,300mAh battery inside the HTC One A9s, which supports fast charging. So even if you do find yourself running a bit low on power, 15 minutes plugged into the wall will boost you back up for hours.

HTC One A9S is rated 2.6 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Headbanging frustrating I got this phone after having an HTC Desire and a One M8. Both brilliant phones. In between I had a Samsung S3 which I thought was the worst phone I'd ever owned, until I got an A9s. What a piece of junk. The microphone turns itself off at random and will only turn back on if you restart the phone. It connects to the WiFi in bursts of about 5 seconds, disconnects, reconnects, disconnects, reconnects ad nauseum. You can't watch videos on it without switching to data, a lot of apps won't work on it including All4. The battery life is appalling and if it runs flat, it takes about 20 minutes to restart after charging. Coverage is terrible in spite of using the same provider as my husband's Pixel, which usually has full signal in places where I have none. Camera is fuzzy, I use my old M8 to take photos with. Lesson learned is this, HTC flagship phones are great, anything cheaper and they simply don't put the work into them to make them usable. As I'm sitting here typing and watching the WiFi switching on and off, I know this is probably the last HTC I'll own. My husband's had his Pixel for two years and not had a single issue with it, so I know where my money's going on my next phone.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very disappointed with my HTC ONE A9S Had this phone since september 2017 had signal problems on EE been sent off for repair twice, had a new replacement phone still poor signal my 3 year old HTC one mini 2 has good signal and the battery lasts a lot longer

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't waste your money! I'm an HTC fan but that thing is so not HTC. This thing is really annoying, has loads of bugs that will not get fixed. Phone is discontinued - will not receive further Android updates, so you'd be stuck with Marshmallow. You won't hear it ring because the speaker is horrible. After 3 or 4 months of usage, battery started dying, showing me wrong percentage and phone shutting down unexpectedly. It also keeps lowering the volume when I play music and there's no way to disable that. Better get yourself some unbranded phone, would serve you better than that iPhone replica...

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very pleased I have had a HTC ONE M7 and a M8 so it was natural to go for another HTC phone for my 02 upgrade. I was a bit concerned about the experiences of a poor battery on the HTC a9s. However I went for the a9s and I am glad that I made the choice. I have had the HTC ONE a 9 s since last Thursday at 12.30 and it has been put to hard work installing all my apps, and it has been on from 07.10 am to 23.45 pm each day , and I have only charged it twice and this is Saturday at 21.20. Looking forward to 2 years or even more with the phone.
