A tribute to the original

The 2017 version of the Nokia 3310 has truly been brought into the digital age with 3G connectivity. It strongly resembles the original in terms of design, with its T9 keypad layout, but it’s now slimmer and has a larger 2.4-inch colour display.

The one-month battery

A 25-day standby battery life is great news if you’re looking for a phone to keep you going all the way through your weekend away. You’ll also get around 50 hours of music playback, or 22 hours talk time on a single charge.

Snake is hands-down everyone’s favourite retro mobile game. And now it’s back. It’s seen a slight redesign, now with a more arcade look and feel. And you can now move in more than four directions.

Nokia 3310 3G is rated 2.9 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is how mobiles were! I see so many negative comments about this phone, people seem to of forgotten that before smart phones, this was a great mobile phone, and when first launched, was break through technology (and at the time it had a non colour display). This is a cheap phone! ok, not the easiest to use (if compared to a smart phone) if you spend more money you could get some more features. The whole reason nokia has brought it back is nostalgia, nothing more! I Think its great to see the old girl back again!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Complicated and confusing! Even though the Nokia 3310 looks different, it is difficult to use. For example, when putting the recipient in when sending a text, it always enters numbers, so you have to click the # button at least twice. Also, the torch switches on at random times (the torch, when I want it to be on, is good!) The locking mechanism is rubbish. It locks but doesn't seem to lock the 9 button, so it keeps accidentally dialling 999 in my pocket which is embarrassing and dangerous! The keypad, though stylish, is very difficult to see, because in this colour (grey) the numbers and buttons are the same colour, so you can't read the numbers well. Simple things like the volume are also unnecessarily tricky. It is far more difficult to use than my previous based Nokia, which I loved.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Style before substance It's ok, but quite a few things are different from previous low cost Nokia phones which take a while to discover and understand. Message writing has changed substantially and annoyingly on predictive text a capital letter does not automatically follow a full stop which is very fiddly to get right. The torch is on the back so the phone does not sit easily in the palm of your hand as it did when the beam was on the top edge. There doesn't seem to be a short cut to turn the torch on as there was before. Silent mode is still through the bottom right button but is not instant because there are now volume options, this is also where predictive text is switched on or off. That was hard to find! I prefer the Nokia 215/216 models to the 3310 by a very long way.
