Not all phones are compatible with wireless phone chargers. You’ll need a phone with built-in QI wireless charging, so check your manufacturer’s instructions to see if you can use wireless chargers to power it up. If your phone does support wireless charging, please note that you don’t always need one made by the same company. Lots of other brands will usually be compatible.
Qi is the name of a wireless charging standard, in the same way that ‘USB Type-C’ is the name of a wired charging standard. All QI wireless chargers have been tested to be safe and effective. So, if you buy a compatible QI charger for your phone, you’ll be able to take advantage of wireless charging straight away.
A lot of people wonder if wireless charging is bad for the battery. The short answer is no, wireless charging will not degrade your battery faster than normal charging. Even if you leave your phone on a wireless charging pad for too long, you won’t be able to overcharge it or damage the battery in any way.
Some Huawei smartphones have QI-compatible wireless charging built-in to them, including the recent flagship Huawei P30 Pro. With Huawei wireless charging, simply place your phone on a compatible charger to start powering it up.
