If you have Lifeline or Geek Squad insurance and your laptop's been lost or stolen...
Report your loss to the police and get a crime reference number or lost reference number. You need to do this within 24 hours of your laptop going missing if you're a Geek Sqaud customer, or 48 hours if you're a Lifeline customer
You'll need to give the police your laptop's serial number, details of where it was lost and, if possible, the phone number of the place where you lost it
If for any reason you cannot get a crime reference or lost reference number from the police, make sure you get the name of the officer you reported the loss to, their badge number and the police station's telephone number. If you can report the loss to another authority then please do this as well.

When you make a claim, we'll need your name, date of birth, address and the policy number shown on your certificate of insurance, so please make sure you have these ready.
