What are the benefits of paying by direct debit?

Paying by direct debit is quick, easy and will save you £3.50 a month - £42 a year.

How can I set up direct debit?

If you'd like to pay by direct debit, call your network provider and they can set it up for you. Charges may apply.

Where can I find my direct debit date?

If you pay by direct debit your payment date is shown on the first page of your bill.

How can I change my direct debit date?

  • If you are an O2 customer managed by the Carphone Warehouse and want to change your direct debit date, call us on 0870 111 7200 (free from your O2 mobile - charges from other phones and mobiles vary).
  • If you're with another network and you want to change your direct debit date, contact your network provider.
  • You cannot change your direct debit date if your account is with a debt collection agency or you have an overdue outstanding balance

How does changing my direct debit date affect my account?

  • The change will take place after we send you your next bill.
  • A new account (with a new account number) is set up as you will be on a new billing cycle. This means you will have to pay one last bill on your current cycle.
  • You will get two bills while the cycle is changing over and will be charged 'part month' line rental on the first bill. See also 'Why is my first bill higher than I expected?
  • You will get your inclusive allowance pro-rata, according to the number of days remaining in the first month See also 'Why is my first bill higher than I expected?
  • You will lose unused minutes when the new cycle begins and you may lose promotional offers.
  • If you are an online billing customer, you will need to register your new account number. You can do this by going to the online billing menu and clicking on 'Add new account’.
