Why is my first bill higher than I expected?

Your first bill includes 'part month line rental' (your line rental from the day you were connected to the day we sent your first bill). So your first bill includes all of the following:
  • your normal line rental, which you pay one month in advance
  • 'part month line rental'
  • all charges from the day you were connected to the day we sent your first bill, like calls, texts and Bolt Ons

Why haven't I received my full inclusive minutes and texts in my first bill?

In your first bill, your inclusive minutes and texts are calculated pro-rata.
This means you get a proportion of your inclusive allowance in the first month.

Example: Let's say you get 400 free minutes per month and your bill cycle runs from 1 October to 1 November. If you were connected on 20 October, then you get 11 days' worth of your inclusive minutes to cover the period from 20 October to 31 October. The next month, you'll get your full allowance.

What is VAT and how do I know if it is included?

VAT stands for Value Added Tax and is added to all UK phone bills. It's charged at 15%. On your bill, the line rental and charges are shown before VAT. The total on the bill includes VAT.

How do I get an itemised bill?

Itemised billing can be added to your account straight away, and will be effective from the date we produce your next bill. There may be a monthly charge. To ask for itemised billing and find out about charges, call your network provider.
