Your Chequeback Checklist


What info should I include when I make my chequeback claim?

Before you send us your chequeback claim, use this checklist to make sure you've included all the info we need

Make sure that you don't owe any money from a previous month's bill

Check that you're sending us the right bill. If you're not sure which bill you need to send, go to the chequeback calculator

If you want to type in your details and print them, click the Printer friendly version symbol. Or just write your own hand-written note making sure you include the following details:-

  • Your name (this must be the person named on the account).
  • Your address (this needs to be the same address as on your bill. If your address has changed, email us before you make your chequeback claim. Please select 'Chequeback' from the email us drop-down list).
  • Your Carphone Warehouse customer account number (the account number that was given to you when you got your phone).
  • Your mobile number (the mobile number that you got the chequeback deal on).
  • If you transferred your old number on to your new phone or you've changed your number since you signed up, the phone number on our records may be wrong. Add a quick explanation to your note so we can look into it.

    Send us a photocopy of the first two pages of your bill. (If your bill is only one page then just photocopy that page. If you get bills online, then print the first two pages)
    5. Send us your bill(s) and details using Royal Mail's "Recorded Signed For™" service (usually called recorded delivery)
    • Make sure that you keep the receipt given to you by the Royal Mail, because it contains a special reference tracking number that we might need from you.

    6. What happens next?
    • We'll send you a text when we receive your chequeback claim and another when we send the cheque out to you.
    • If for any reason we have a problem with your chequeback, we'll send you an email.
    • It can take up to 60 days from when you post us your chequeback claim, to you getting your cheque.
