Samsung Galaxy S5 vs Samsung Galaxy S4: Which one is right for you?

After a lot of waiting and endless rumours, Samsung has finally announced the Samsung Galaxy S5. How does it stack up against the Samsung Galaxy S4?

Stay healthy and get fitter

If you’re into staying fit and healthy, the Samsung Galaxy S5 has some great new features. Both phones will measure how far you’ve walked, and can even calculate the amount of calories you’ve burnt. But on top of that, the S5 measures your heart rate, so it can tell you whether you’re training hard enough. It’ll even tell you how stressed you are.

The ultimate in security

The Galaxy S4 is pretty secure, but if you have videos or photos that need extra protection, the new S5 is a must. Incredibly, you can use your own unique fingerprint to unlock the phone or make secure payments through PayPal. Resetting your password could be a thing of the past.

Say goodbye to blurry photos

The Samsung Galaxy S4’s camera was among the best on any smartphone. But now the S5’s is just that little bit better. Both take super sharp photos, and with the S5, you won’t have to wait for it to focus - it takes just 0.3 seconds. From nights out to sports photos, you’ll never get a blurry shot.

Got water on it? No problem!

The Galaxy S5 will survive being dropped in a sink full of water because it’s now water resistant! Whether you’re always getting caught in the rain or want to take photos underwater, the S5 is ready. The older S4 will survive a few knocks and bumps, but only the S5 can live through a dunk under water.

A battery that goes on and on

Need your phone to last and last? The extra battery life of the S5 is definitely for you. The Galaxy S4 will see you through games and emails for a whole day and then some. The S5 can offer a little bit extra, with Ultra Power Saving mode. Turn it on and 10% of charge can last for up to 24 hours if you need it to!

If you’re into fitness, photos or need extra security for your precious data or online payments, the Samsung Galaxy S5 has you covered.
