S Translator on the Samsung Galaxy S4 is a feature that breaks down language barriers! It's an integrated app that gives you instant translations to and from nine languages: Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish, and English. It also knows the difference between UK and American English. It can give you translations in text or voice forms, and you can input languages to be translated via speech or text. Because it's integrated into the Samsung Galaxy S4 it works with your email, text messages and ChatON apps. It also works offline, so you won't have any huge data bills when you're abroad.
Primarily, S Translator is going to be useful for when you're travelling abroad. Whether you like to go to Italy for yearly holidays, are sent to Germany every two months with work, or have family or friends that live abroad, being able to instantly translate what people are saying to you, and then instantly have your S4 reply with a translation of what you said back, will make being abroad easier and more fun. Because it works offline, it means you don't need to use expensive data when you're out of the country. It's also great if you've friends from abroad who speak different languages. They can message you in their first language, and you can reply in yours, and just by using S Translator you'll both be able to understand. And, if you've been trying to learn a language, now you can have instant translations of texts on the internet, find out what something means and even check what you think you're saying is right.
S Translator can be accessed simply by opening the app. Then just type or speak to your Samsung Galaxy SIV and it'll translate to and from your chosen languages. As S Translator is built into the S4, to use it whilst in an app, such as an email, just highlight the word/s and select the S Translate option to find out what's been said.
