Motorola is exploring the possibility of a mobile phone gift on Valentine's Day this year with the announcement of its upcoming PEBL Rose Bloom handset.

The sleek flip-phone will be marketed as the perfect gift for loved ones, and features a drawing of a rose etched onto its touch sensitive surface. Looks aren't all this fashionable phone has, though - it boasts a range of features that make it a welcome addition to Motorola's 2009 line-up.

A built in camera means that couples can start snapping away with a resolution of 2 megapixels, and the handset is also capable of storing plenty of romantic tunes you can listen to via the 3.5mm headphone jack. The phone transfers data via HSDPA at a rate of 7.2Mps and includes Bluetooth connectivity for access to other wireless devices.

The latest offering from Motorola swiftly follows the introduction of three other phones earlier this month. Heralding in the New Year with a bang, Motorola unveiled three new devices, including the Motorola Renew, a mobile phone made entirely of recyclable products with its carbon footprint offset by the company. Eco-phones have been explored by a variety of companies, such as Samsung and Nokia - the latter of which won recognition last year for excellence regarding environmental consideration.

Nokia revealed a device last year that was mostly built from recyclable materials, including bio-degradable materials like corn, which was used for the phone's case. Motorola's PEBL Rose Bloom has not yet received a release date, but it is likely that it will arrive in stores over coming weeks.
