Apple iPhone 3G and 3G/S owners can now upgrade to OS 4!
This brand new software update includes over 100 exciting features, designed to enhance the way your smartphone works and make it even more fun to use.
Here's a taste of what's in store with OS 4:
Arguably the most important addition is multitasking; as for the first time iPhone users will be able to chat while surfing, tune into music while playing a game and generally make the most of their smartphone's amazing features.
OS 4's new Folders feature will make it possible to store up to 2,000 apps on your device, group them by type and locate them more easily; so you'll be able to enjoy using a massive variety of applications, widgets and games on your smartphone.
The enhanced email client and unified inbox will make reading and organising messages much more simple, and all of your texts will be grouped into conversations, so you never miss a thing.
Apple's Game Centre is going to be a huge plus for iPhone fans, as it brings social networking and gaming together to make multiplayer games more social. There are talks of further features still to come, such as leader boards, points systems and achievements.
The brand new iBook app will allow you to buy and read books right on your phone's screen, with a huge selection of bestselling titles to choose from.
To upgrade your iPhone 3G or iPhone 3GS to OS 4, simply connect your phone to your PC or Mac and iTunes will inform you that an update is available. The system will backup your entire iPhone, including photos, contacts, messages and internet bookmarks, before the upgrade takes place.
Please note that there is no update available at this time for the original iPhone, and a partial upgrade is available for iPhone 3G users. You will still be able to use many of the new features including Folders and the new unified inbox, but you will not be able to multitask.
