Top mobile phone manufacturer Motorola has shown off pictures of its upcoming slider phone, the ZN300. The handset is a mid-range device packing all the usual features, such as a fairly impressive 3.1 megapixel fixed-focus camera with flash, which is also capable of recording video at a rate of 20fps.

What is appealing with these features is that the phone's memory can be expanded up to 32GB with a microSD card, meaning there is plenty of storage space for photos and movies. Social networks such as Facebook and MySpace will come preloaded on the phone, which can be used with dedicated media keys. Bluetooth ensures connectivity and the speakerphone feature will allow users to go hands-free.

Since the Mobile World Congress last month, many mobile phone manufacturers have announced their upcoming devices for 2009. Amongst them were the most popular companies, such as Nokia, Samsung and LG, which revealed a variety of innovative new products. LGannounced a wristwatch phone that will be available in Q4 and is fully touchscreen.

And Nokia revealed its own apps store, which will take on Apple's App Store for iPhone, and is available to users owning Symbian phones. BlackBerry creator Research in Motion also recently launched its own BlackBerry App World, yet another competitor in the rapidly-growing apps industry.

The Motorola ZN300 as yet has no release date or pricing details, though it was revealed that the upcoming slider phone will have a mid-range price tag.
