A few new LG handsets have been released, and both are low-range handsets designed to suit the consumer on a budget. Industry website engadget reports that the GB125 boasts an FM radio amongst its features.

The phone doesn't have an external display, though it uses a series of lights to indicate status. In the past, mobile manufacturer Motorola has tried a similar model. The other GD330 slide model offers users a bit more, with a 2 megapixel camera, touch-sensitive softkeys and a slick, streamlined look that is sure to turn heads.

Both phones are expected to launch later this month, with the GD300 costing around $200 (£140) and the GB125 selling for an affordable $65 (£45). LG has also recently announced plans to release a new handset inspired by a popular Nintendo game. The release to the Korean market would be modeled off of the country's popular "Cooking Mama" video game, which has players simulating making a variety of dishes on-screen. It's expected that the mobile will be known as the "Cookie."

Experts are predicting that the new models will help give LG a leg-up in the competitive market. The company has also recently offered innovative new mobiles, including a recently revealed wristwatch phone. In addition, the company's soon-to-be-released KM900 boasts an impressive spec-list, including an intuitive touchscreen.

LG joins other mobile manufacturers who have been attempting to break further into the mobile gaming market. Previously, the company and rival Korean firm Samsung both tried to release devices into the console gaming market, but they were eventually drive out by Japanese rivals.
