Orange, one of the UK's leading mobile networks, has expanded its mobile broadband portfolio with two new laptops and a new dongle with data storage capacity. Orange says that these new expansions have been made in order to ensure that consumers are always kept connected whilst on the move.
The two laptops that will be added to its 'connected' range are the HP Compaq Mini 700 and Toshiba L300. Each is available on a 24 month contract on the network's Internet Everywhere mobile broadband service, with a 3GB monthly data allowance and 24 month manufacturer warranty. The ultra-portable HP Compaq Mini 700 is available at £30 a month, has a 10.1 inch compact screen, weighs just one kilogram and comes equipped with an integrated webcam.
The Toshiba L300 on the other hand, features a 15.4 inch widescreen display with integrated webcam, 160GB storage, a DVD player/recorder and weighs 2.5 kilograms. This model is available at £35 per month. Also announced was the Huawei E160e dongle in black, white and pink, which works in conjunction with Internet Everywhere and also acts as a memory card with space for a microSD card holding up to 8GB.
Asif Aziz, Director of Broadband and Home, Orange UK, said: "We always aim to offer customers a flexible solution that works around them and the lifestyle they choose, and believe the new devices we’ve launched today do just that. "We will continue to build on these offerings throughout 2009 so as to ensure our customers benefit from one of the most competitive portfolios for mobile broadband in the UK."
