The Screen
Dominating the front of the Samsung Galaxy S4 is the new 5" Super AMOLED display. It's actually a 1080p full HD screen, making it incredibly sharp, perfect for viewing photos, web pages and full HD movies. How about compared to an S3? The S4's touchscreen is much sharper, much brighter and has more lifelike colours too. More? The screen can automatically adjust its colours for optimal viewing, can be used with gloves and you don't even need to touch it to use it!
Air View and Air Gesture
You read right, the Samsung Galaxy S4 has a screen that's so sensitive you don't actually have to touch it to interact with it. Turn Air View on and just hover over your images and you'll get a large preview box appear, or it'll preview the contents of an email without you having to open it. Even more useful is Air Gesture. Skip music tracks, accept an incoming call or scroll webpages just by waving your hand across the screen.
The body
The Samsung Galaxy S4 uses Samsung's pebble styling, so it's smooth, comfortable and sleek. Available in Black Mist and White Front colours, it has a bigger screen than an S3, a larger battery, but because the bezel - the gap between the screen and the edge of the phone - is really thin, Samsung has actually been able to build the new S4 a few millimeters smaller than an S3. It's also 3g lighter at on 130g.
Smart Pause
The Smart Pause feature is used during video playback. Play a video, either one saved on the phone or a streamed video, such as from YouTube™, and when you look away from the screen, your Samsung Galaxy S4 will pause your video. Better yet, when you look back, your video will start playing again.
Smart Scroll
Smart Scroll is a feature that allows you to scroll your emails or web browser up or down without having to touch the screen. Look at the screen and tilt the phone and the S4 recognises the movement, scrolling pages up and down accordingly.
Dual camera mode
On the back of the Samsung Galaxy S4 is a 13MP camera, giving sharp photos with realistic colours. On the front is a 2MP front facing camera. Combine the two and you get the revolutionary Dual Camera feature. In short, you can take photos with the rear and front cameras simultaneously, giving you a shot with whatever you were shooting plus yourself! Even better, you can move where the image from the front camera is in the photo before you shoot, resize it and choose themes to blend the two phots together however you want. You can even have the front facing camera as the main image, and the rear as the smaller shot, perfect for self portraits that remind you of where you were.
