At Carphone Warehouse we have always been about connecting people, helping them realise what's possible in their life.

That's why we support Get Connected, our chosen charity partner whose purpose is to ensure that every child and young person in the UK can connect with the support they need, when they need it. A perfect match!

We've had the privilege of working with Get Connected for over 10 years and are extremely proud of the partnership. In that time we raised in excess of £2 million for the charity and most importantly we have helped more than 130,000 young people find information and support in times of need.

We have now linked-up with The Pennies Foundation, creators of Pennies the electronic charity box, in support of this partnership. It is a great development that brings our partnership to customers in a new and innovative way. Using Pennies every customer will now have the opportunity to top-up their payment with a 25p donation in private via the Chip & PIN machine. 75% will go to Get Connected and 25% will be shared with other UK charities. We believe this to be a revolution in fundraising and are glad to be supporting it.

We think Pennies is simple and easy to use so it’s a perfect way for us to give our customers the opportunity to support charity whilst shopping with us.

Over the years, Carphone Warehouse has worked closely with Get Connected, supporting exciting charity events like auctions, daredevil skydiving stunts and adventure treks, as well as providing office space and technical support for the charity's vital work.

It's so simple - with just one call or click anyone in the UK under 25 can get access to practical or emotional support on their terms by phone, email or webchat 365 days of the year.

They can also look for help themselves online with Get Connected's new WebHelp 24/7 service, designed to help those who are not yet ready to share their problems.

We are truly proud of what Get Connected has achieved so far and Carphone Warehouse is proud to have played our part in that success. Our ambitions for the future are however, even bigger.

We have two huge objectives:

To find help for over 100,000 young people every year.
We want EVERY young person in the UK to know there's help on hand, whenever they need it.

Get Connected is the UK's free confidential helpline for children and young people under 25, who need help but don't know where to turn. Last year alone their team of volunteers took more than 48,000 calls and replied to over 5,000 emails and webchats, giving information and emotional support for a wide range of issues.

Everybody has a valuable role to play in this worthwhile partnership. Every bit of support helps, no matter how big or small.

Callers can speak freely to our volunteers about any problem, no matter how distressing or embarrassing.
