iTunes isn't needed to copy photos from your phone to your PC, so close it down and follow the steps listed below.

  1. Connect your iPhone to your computer (if it isn't already), open your Start menu and click on Computer.
  2. Your iPhone will be listed, along with the names and letters of your hard disk drives. Double-click on the name of your iPhone.
  3. A folder called Internal Storage will now be visible. Double-click on it to continue.
  4. Inside Internal Storage you will find the DCIM folder. Open it to find the folders where your pictures are stored.
  5. Right-click on your pictures folder and choose Copy. The pictures are saved to your computer's clipboard, ready to be pasted to somewhere more appropriate.
  6. Take a look down the left-hand side of your Computer window. You will see folders marked Documents, Music, Pictures and Videos. Right-click on Pictures and choose Paste from the menu which appears. Your photos are now stored on your computer!
